'Infotainment' and passenger
information in public transportation. Advantage: Convenient, mid- to broadband carrier to the fleet. Actually being used at Berlin, Potsdam, Munich and in Scandinavia. |
Dynamic passenger information
at stops, displaying arrival times and delays. Advantage: Easily setting up displays, no digging up the earth to lay data cables. Actually being used at Nuremberg and Innsbruck. |

Differential GPS / RTK to
enable land survey and realtime positioning up to the centimeters range. Advantage: No user fee, reliably covering the entire country. Actually being used in Belgium (WALCORS network). |
Parking space information. Advantage: no wires, easy setup, easily broadcasting to a group of receivers. Actually being used in Belgium (city of Brussels). |

SAR / Disaster relief. Advantage: Broadband access to the rescue team in order to supply detailed action information. Experimental services in Germany and Switzerland. |
Updating outdoor displays. Advantage: no wires, easy setup, broadcasting to a group or to individual displays, very economic carrier. Actually under development (Germany). |

Streaming TV signals to cable control centers. Advantage: using DAB is the cheapest alternative. Actually being used in Eastern Germany. |
